5.30.10: I’ve been doing a lot of writing and demoing. I look forward to getting back into the studio just as soon as I can afford to! There have been two sides to my songwriting these days: a few of the new up-tempo songs are a lot more grittier, and driving, but I’m also writing a lot of ballads, heavy on the atmospheric side. I’m very excited about the new material and will be sharing a few new ones with everyone on Reverbnation in the coming weeks.

I’ll be performing a big show with my band in three weeks at the National Underground in New York City. Hope to see you there!

4.12.10: I was thrilled to perform a pre-show set for 11th Hour Theatre Company’s production of “Rooms” April 9. It was a great show! It was a tremendous show about two young rockers who fall in love during the height of London’s punk scene in 1977. Special thanks to Michael O’Brien & 11th Hour for having me out!

1.17.10: OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: There has been some speculation about who is singing the new Glenn Beck Radio Theme Song, ‘We Will Be The Key’ which aired a few weeks ago. Some have said it sounds like Radiohead, MUSE, Chris Cornell and Queen. To clear up any confusion, I am the singer for Mr. Beck’s new song. Glenn and his team wrote the lyrics and Anthony Newett produced and wrote the song.

Anthony is a phenomenal Grammy nominated producer who also produced the songs on my new album, ‘FALL’. I’d like to thank Anthony and Mr. Beck for the wonderful opportunity to perform his song. While I am personally not aligned with some of Mr. Beck’s opinions I am very grateful for the opportunity. A special thank you to all the new fans who are enjoying the song and the great feedback. Personally I think the song speaks to all sides of the political spectrum.

In other news as many of you know I perform with an amazing five piece band and I have some ‘exclusive footage’ of the band rehearsing before our show at the Legendary Mercury Lounge a few weeks back, thanks to our smooth bass player, Ricardo Rodriquez. Its a rehearsal so its a little raw in some spots, so just keep that in mind : )

New Music coming soon!

7.14.08 - A very special thank-you! to everyone who came out to make the CD Release of my new album, ‘Fall’ at the North Star such a huge success. It was a long time coming and I was humbled by the tremendous turnout. The artist’s life is never easy and as a singer/songwriter you struggle with so many things: the songwriting, the recording, the design, promoting, and finding the means to pay for it all! I often joke, ‘well some people have mortgages I have 8 songs!’ and then there are some special moments where everything comes together, a night of synchronicity and magic when you’re able to share the fruits of your labors with your friends, where everyone is right there with you in every moment of the song, cheering you on, ‘celebrating the journey’ as my cousin Dan is always fond of saying. One of the highlights for me was to be backed up by an amazing new band including the talented Jeff Barrett on keys (who also co-produced my new album, ‘Fall’) Steve Shaffer lead guitar, Ricardo Rodriguez on bass and Peter Trezzi on drums playing to a packed house and looking up at the balcony and serenading old friends and new fans alike. It was a night I’ll never forget. I thank-you from the bottom of my heart...

There are some great gigs coming up in the month of August which I hope you’ll be able to join us for including shows in Philadelphia at M-Room, the Tin Angel and much more. Be sure to check out the ‘shows’ section for more!!

2.27.08 - Hello! I’ve just returned from Florida and I’m happy to announce: The first of TWO CD Release concerts has been set!! It was a wonderful time down in Florida. Got to see some old friends at Orlando Shakespeare worked on a fun new play ‘The Blue Sky Boys’ by Deborah Brevoort (Pat and Jim thanks for having me down so great to see you guys again: also Marc and Kristen thank-you! I was also involved in the critically acclaimed Southwest Florida premiere of ‘The Last 5 Years’ in Ft. Myers, FL, thanks Andrew and Janelle for the opportunity.

While down in Ft. Myers doing ‘L5Y’ with the spellbinding Robin Harris-Jones, Producer/Musician/Actor/Technical Director/VO Producer/Video Producer/Songwriter/Superhero Afficianado, Jeff ‘Superman’ Barrett flew down from Philly to lend his magic on keys to play a few shows. We played a fantastic venue called Yabo. Ryan Kida runs YABO Restaurant , he had us play his amazing restaurant with an unbeatable vibe featuring the best micro-brews and some of the best Italian I’ve ever had. He’s an amazing singer/chef/sound board op! Thank you Ryan for taking care of us!

Thanks to my dear friend Gregg ‘Liquid’ L., Liz and ‘Lil’ Ms. Liza Jane, for recommending YABO...and Liquid Nitrogen for being our official sponsor...

We were greatful to get to know: Chuck ‘the solution’ Kauffman (you were the key to everything!), the amazing pit of ‘L5Y’: ‘No Bulldogs’ Diane, Fire Fingers Flo (amazing violinist/violist, at 80 she handles JRB’s runs like a walk on the beach), the lovely Jules, Robin Harris-Stratospheric-Equity-Cool Hyphens-Jones (played Cathy in ‘L5Y’, the woman has lungs - look out B-way!!), and a MOST special thank-you to Ms. Tiffany ‘TT Princess of Nubia’ and Anna for your friendship, and wonderful photos...

Probably the best part about Ft. Myers was long walks and bike rides along Boulevards getting whistles from random women in Ford Trucks. I love my country. Anyway...

1.29.08 - After the critically acclaimed Southwest Florida premiere of ‘The Last 5 Years’ with Synergy Productions in Ft. Myers I’ll be working with the Orlando Shakespeare Festival’s, Harriet Lake New Festival of Plays. I’ll be performing in a new piece called ‘The Blue Sky Boys’ by Deborah Brevoort. When the Engineers behind the Apollo Lunar mission hit a brick wall they call in their boyhood heroes: Buck Rodgers, The Red Barron, and Snoopy to help them fullfill their dream of space exploration. The Harriett Lake Festival of New Plays is a 10 day event including a premiere production of OPUS, 3 workshop productions, 8 readings, playwright and critic panels, master classes and a keynote speech by John Pielmeier (Agnes of God). Playfest runs Feb 8-17. For more information go to: orlandoshakes.org

12.20.07 - I’m appearing as ‘Jamie Wellerstein’ in the award winning Jason Robert Brown musical, ‘The Last 5 Years’ in Ft. Myers, FL. The Musical received a Drama Desk award for best new musical in 2003. Jason Robert Brown has been hailed as ‘the next Stephen Sondheim’.
